How accurate is the ranking data?
We use the official VS Code Marketplace API (the same one the website uses). The rankings you see are identical to what users see when searching. We track positions 1-100 for each keyword.
How often is data updated?
Free plan: Daily automated checks + 1 instant refresh per day. Pro plan: Daily automated checks + 25 instant refreshes per day. We implement rate limiting (2-second delays) to respect marketplace limits.
What happens if the Marketplace API changes?
We monitor for API changes daily. The endpoint we use has been stable for years and is publicly accessible. If Microsoft ever restricts access, we have fallback methods and will contact Microsoft for official API access. Your data is safe and exportable.
Can I export my data?
Yes! Pro plan includes CSV/PDF export for all historical data. We believe in data portability - it's your data. Export anytime and use it however you like.
What about rate limits?
We implement a 2-second delay between requests to respect Microsoft's rate limits. For instant refreshes, we process keywords sequentially to avoid 429 errors. Daily automated checks are spread out over a 2-hour window.
Can I track competitors' extensions?
Yes! Pro plan allows 5 competitors per extension. We auto-discover potential competitors based on search results. Track their positions, downloads, ratings, and get alerts when they outrank you.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, then your account reverts to the Free plan. All your data is preserved.
